FAQ's
(frequently asked questions)
1). HOW ARE YOU ABLE TO GIVE IV THERAPY AND INJECTIONS?
All of our services are administered by a Registered Nurse in California who operates under protocols approved by a Licensed Medical Doctor.
2). HOW DOES IV THERAPY WORK?
Modern medicine, technology and advancements now allows US to come to you. This type of functional medicine is modern, available and mobile. A qualified Registered Nurse (RN), working under a Medical Provider, will come to your own home, office or event to infuse you.
-
First a health assessment will be done to qualify the client, then
-
Once at the location: set up the IV pole an prepare the solution of your choice.
-
A small IV (intravenous) line is inserted to your arm/hand for fast absorption into your veins. Typical infusion will vary from min 30 min -1.5 hours (NAD+ approx. 2 hrs.)* special monitoring done by the RN.
-
The RN will be monitoring the infusion the whole time spent there.
-
Once done, IV is removed and after visit instructions are offered.
-
Have any medical/health questions? This is your chance to have a 1:1 time with the RN.
3). IS IV THERAPY SAFE?
All infusions are administered by an RN, under the direct&/ion of a medical provider. Before a client receives IV therapy, their health history is reviewed, including all medications and allergies.
Side effects from an IV infusion are rare &/or generally mild you may experience some discomfort, bruising, itching, inflammation, or redness at or around the site of injection, and this could last from a few minutes to several days. Mild flushing sensation can also be experienced and can be relieved by slowing the rate of infusion. A small risk of infection does exist. Although true adverse/allergic reactions are extremely rare, the RN is well trained to recognize any dangerous signs/symptoms & treat accordingly.
4). WHO IS IV THERAPY FOR?
Optimal balance of nutrients is unique to each individual’s needs. Our products & services are created to meet a wide range of wellness goals, which include but not limited to:
-
Clients from 15 years old and above
-
Increased energy levels, rapid illness recovery, athletic performance, and more.
-
Improve activity levels, for professionals/parents with a fast lifestyle, frequent travelers (jetlag) can benefit from IV drip therapy.
5). DOES IV THERAPY HURT?
The wellness and comfort of our clients is one of our greatest priorities. The RN is highly trained and experienced with advanced IV insertion skills. We use small, delicate needles to provide a virtually pain-free experience. A majority of our patients find IV insertion to be painless, whereas others may experience brief discomfort (comparable to a pinch) upon needle insertion. In general, our clients find the experience of infusion itself to be relaxing.
6). ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?
Major adverse effects are rare. However, any time there is a needle physically entering the skin, there is a small risk of infection, bleeding, bruising, and slight pain. All medical precautions are taken to avoid these common side effects by:
-
Aseptic technique, proper needle size, using vein finders, and topical medications to help reduce pain, as needed/available.
-
Occasionally, our clients may report cooling of their arm, or a warm sensation, headache as nutrients enter their bloodstream, none of which life threatening & easily subside.
7). WHAT RESULTS SHOULD I EXPECT?
Clients almost immediately experience a boost of energy. When the body reaches optimal mineral and vitamin levels, it can then support proper metabolism, cortisol levels, cellular health, mood, and good sleep patterns. Our IV drips can also bolster the immune system, which is especially beneficial during the cold and allergy season.
8). HOW OFTEN SHOULD I DO I THERAPY?
In order to promote & maintain overall wellness, one infusion every two weeks or monthly is ideal and adequate for most people since nutrient levels are elevated for a couple of weeks following an infusion.
9). CAN I RESUME MY NORMAL ACTIVITIES AFTER AN IV DRIP?
ABSOLUTELY! With your newly renewed energy and optimized health, you can resume your day-to-day activities with even better performance following an IV drip.
10). WHY IV THERAPY INSTEAD OF VITAMIN SUPPLEMENTS?
Intravenous (IV) therapy offers a safe delivery of essential fluids, vitamins, minerals and amino acids for faster absorption & distribution. IV therapy by-passes the digestive tract by pushing the nutrients through the bloodstream straight into the cells: for repair & cell growth. Therefore, an elevated concentration of cellular uptake of nutrients via IV has a more effectual impact. Oral supplements can still be taken in between infusions.
11). DO YOU OFFER GROUP RATES?
YES! We offer group discounts and group rates based on your party size, IV services & locations. Contact us to learn more about how we can provide IV services to your group events.
